Gail Bennett appeared on Broadway as the Tsarina Alexandra Romanoff in Anastasia the Musical. She is known for her portrayal of Mary Poppins across the country. Traversing the map over 17 years, she’s picked up her iconic Umbrella in 8 high-profile productions including understudying and going on for the original Broadway Mary Poppins in the First Broadway National Tour, earning her an IRNE nomination. (She lost the award to Chita Rivera.) You can find her as Mary Poppins in several viral TikTok videos. Other credits include the International Tour of The Sound of Music as Baroness Elsa Schraeder, opening the Brand new Nita Makesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai, India. She began her career in the Las Vegas Production of Mel Brooks’ The Producers: a role she repeated at the renowned Hollywood Bowl.

 

Gail has appeared in Feature Films, Netflix and Network TV series and even starred in a viral AFLAC commercial. She has also starred in dozens of professional regional musicals from Maine to California and even as far as Germany. She performs as a solo headliner/Broadway Guest Artist for Disney Cruise Line in between her other roles. She is Mom to a brilliant 14 year old

And wife to fellow actor/director Aaron DeJesus. They call northern New Jersey Home and love to share the joy of music all around. Gail is currently touring the country in the smash Broadway hit Death Becomes Her, standing by for both lead roles.
