About Nikita
Nikita Burshteyn Is an award winning actor, singer and dancer as well as the co-founder of the Nikita Burshteyn Vocal Studio. Originally a San Francisco Bay Area native, Nikita worked up through the ranks and dominated the San Francisco theatre circuit, earning himself multiple accolades of recognition for his artistic work. He holds a B.A from of the University of California, Berkeley in Legal Studies.
Two weeks after graduation, he was a top 5 finalist for the role of Tony in Steven Spielberg’s film adaptation of West Side Story which officially began his migration to New York City. Shortly after, Nikita made his Off-Broadway debut by originating the starring role of Romeo in the Off‑Broadway musical comedy hit Romeo & Bernadette, which garnered a Drama Desk Award nomination, won two Outer Critics Circle Awards, and was named a New York Times Critics’ Pick. Nikita also performs regionally nationwide in Broadway hit shows such as Jersey Boys, Newsies, Fiddler On The Roof, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Oklahoma!, La Cage Aux Folles, Urinetown, Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables, and many more.
He is a current resident of Weehawken, NJ with his wife and fellow Golden Grooves instructor, Elizabeth Burshteyn, and their Siberian kitty, Iris. As a coach, Nikita is absolutely delighted to be teaching and enriching the lives of people of all ages by showing them the beauty and magic that singing can bring into our lives.
